Between August 13 and September 11, the team of the NGO “Agape Ukraine” made three humanitarian trips to southern Ukraine, delivering aid to people who remain in the combat zone. 💙💛
That is more than 1,200 km one way, dangerous routes and a constant threat of drone attacks.
During one of the trips, before we even arrived, a drone hit the house where the team was supposed to spend the night. The roof burned down and the ceiling collapsed. Despite this, the owners took us in and did everything they could so that we could rest.
We covered our vehicle with camouflage netting and set off again at dawn.
We handed out aid at pre-arranged locations and asked people not to gather in large groups because of the constant danger of drone attacks.
During these trips we:
🔹 delivered household chemicals, hygiene kits, clothing and food packages;
🔹 brought our soldiers the supplies they had requested;
🔹 delivered hygiene products and mobility aids to the Kherson hospital.
The last trip was especially dangerous. A drone followed our vehicle and tried to attack the volunteers. Thank God, the team managed to get away from it and returned alive and unharmed.
At the same time, local residents describe an extremely difficult humanitarian situation in temporarily occupied Oleshky, where our team cannot go because the city is blockaded by Russian occupation forces.
According to locals, people are left without enough food, water, medicine or communication. Food supplies are running out, and there is practically no way to evacuate or deliver aid. People are on the brink of starvation, struggling to survive.
We thank God that our team returned home alive and unharmed. 🙏
💙 Thank you to everyone who helps this ministry continue:
• Kivertsi Bible Church, for funding the fuel;
• Olha Rubel, for financial support;
• our German and French friends, volunteers of Association Esperance, for their support;
• the leadership of “Agape Ukraine”, Anna Leshchuk and Roman Antoniuk;
• the staff who sort, pack and prepare humanitarian aid;
• our volunteers who risk their own lives to bring help to people.
May the Lord protect our soldiers, our volunteers and everyone who remains in dangerous areas. 🙏
