When 17-year-old Joni was injured in a diving accident more than 58 years ago, no one could have imagined how God would use that story to shape the best part of His plan — for her life and for the lives of thousands of others.
Today, as we celebrate her 76th birthday, we witness a true miracle of God’s faithfulness. Joni herself has said that she never expected to live this long — but the Lord had other plans.
