✨ From August 29 to September 2, we held a retreat for youth with their families and adults with disabilities. More than 20 families gathered at “Yednist” Camp in Kovel to rest together and spend time in a warm atmosphere of acceptance and love.
The retreat was organized by Agape Ukraine, Fimiam Church, and the Joni & Friends Mission. This year’s theme was “The Super Family.” The main idea was to remind us that we are all part of God’s family, where everyone is important and called to serve one another.
👩🏼🦱👨🏻🦰👶🏻 Participants enjoyed a rich program that included sports games, Bible lessons, and epoxy resin workshops. Volunteers assisted every retreat participant who needed additional help during various activities and programs, allowing mothers and fathers to attend their own sessions.
The men’s group received support and inspiration from Pastor Oleksandr Astafyev of Salvation Church.
✨ The retreat atmosphere was created by daily morning exercises that helped everyone wake up and feel energized, evening programs filled with fellowship and joyful experiences, and, of course, gifts for every family — including camp logo T-shirts and memorable gift packages at the end.
🌼 A special highlight of this year’s retreat was the celebration of the 19th anniversary of the disability camp ministry at Fimiam Church and the 35th anniversary of the camp ministry of Joni & Friends. These milestones were celebrated with a large birthday cake, enjoyed by all campers.
These five days became a true celebration for everyone involved. “The Super Family” proved that together we can do more, and that the power of love and support can truly work miracles ❤️
