On the eve of the Resurrection of Christ, which we will celebrate on April 20, festive gatherings were held for people with disabilities and their families. These events were organized through the joint efforts of volunteers from the “Fimiam” Church, the NGO “Agape Ukraine,” the international organization “Joni and Friends,” and other churches in the city of Lutsk.
In the morning, families raising children with disabilities came to the celebration, and in the afternoon — incredible young people along with their loved ones joined in.
After joyful greetings and hugs — as many families had not seen each other since the last meeting at Fimiam — everyone praised God together with the wonderful Darina Vazhoka. Afterward, the guests enjoyed a delicious meal, because one needs to be well-fed to have enough energy for games and contests!
An important part of the meetings was reflecting on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and the value of His sacrifice for every person. These thoughts were shared together with Serhii Oiovych.
To conclude the celebration, each of the 100 families that attended received a food package. We are grateful to the Mennonite Centre Charitable Foundation, and especially to Olha Rubel, for making this possible.
